Service Description

Discover what is strongest in you – and learn how to use that with clarity, confidence and purpose. This 4 session course offers a practical way to apply your core character strengths, understand how they shape the way you think, act and relate and how to use them more intentionally in your work, relationships, decision-making and spiritual life. Rather than focusing on what is wrong or compromised, this approach starts with what is already working in you. The result is greater self-awareness, more confidence in how you show up, and a clearer sense of how you can contribute to others and the wider world. Across four sessions, we will work with the VIA Character Strengths framework – a rigorous, science-backed and extensively researched model used worldwide in psychology, education and wellbeing. You will learn how to identify your strengths and understand how they operate in all the realms of your life. This will give you a practical foundation for deepening your engagement with what matters to you and your spiritual life. This isn't positive thinking or self-optimisation, nor is it about becoming shinier, busier or more impressive. It is about recognising what you naturally bring, noticing how it shows up in real life and learning how to use your strengths with more wisdom, care and purpose. The fun and accessible course is led by someone with over 20 years’ experience working with the VIA model across leadership, personal development and spiritual practice, including integrating strengths into rule of life and everyday patterns of living. The course is open to anyone with an interest in spirituality, meaning, practice or personal growth. It may be especially useful if you: - are interested in spiritual practice, discernment or vocation - want a more rigorous alternative to personality typing systems - are exploring how your own strengths can be used for the benefit of others, not just self-development - want practical language for helping people around you recognise what is strong, fruitful and life-giving in them Although the course is aimed at individuals integrating the content into your own life, you may also find it useful if you work one-to-one with others as a spiritual director, listener, guide, facilitator, minister, counsellor, spiritual coach or mentor. You will leave with a hugely valuable understanding of your own strengths, how they shape the way you notice, act and relate and how to work with them more intentionally.
