I create a space to listen in which you can explore your faith journey and relationship with God. I see that as the heart of the matter of spiritual direction. I have spent my life exploring how faith is expressed creatively in culture, advocating for others who see and imagine new possibilities. My own experience is that spiritual direction has been invaluable for me on my journey so am delighted to be able to offer it others.

I trained in the Ignatian tradition. It doesn’t matter whether you have heard of that or not, but it blends being contemplative and active well. I have found it very creative, open and freeing in terms of faith. I will do my best to listen and help you notice, explore and perhaps stay with where God is at work in your life.

I have worked a lot with creative people starting new things usually motivated by their Christian faith. So unsurprisingly I have found myself accompanying quite a few people in that space. They often struggle to be at home in conventional church spaces and are more at home at the edges. It is usually an adventure to then find out how to nurture a spiritual life that has freedom at the heart of it and that makes sense on that journey where the old ways don’t seem to fit that well any more. I like people so you don’t have to be in that space either.

I am a licensed lay pioneer in the Church of England where I am part of a creative playful church community called Grace in London. It has been a good spiritual home. I look after a woodland and allotment so love the outdoors. I am a photographer, musician, writer, trainer. I have just published a book called Fringe Dweller which is a series of reflections on Jesus encounters with those at the fringes. I have recently founded a spiritual community called Aspen to support those who are pioneers. I trained in Spiritual Direction through Str Beuno’s Jesuit Spirituality Centre in N Wales.
